Webinar: Harnessing Data for Action: A Deep Dive into the MARC SE-Africa Antimalarial Resistance Dashboard
📅 Date: 23 July 2025, 14:00 – 15:30 CAT (UTC+02:00)
📍 Format: virtual
Why join?
In East and Southern Africa, malaria poses one of the world's most significant health burdens. The MARC SE-Africa antimalarial resistance dashboard is an innovative tool for showcasing data needed to combat malaria and the emergence of antimalarial resistance in the region.
This dashboard was developed at the request of national malaria programmes and their partners. It offers a user-friendly interface that supports research and policy development and facilitates a coordinated response to drug-resistant malaria at national, sub-national, and regional levels.
In this webinar, Dr Stephanie Van Wyk, a senior lecturer at the University of Cape Town, and Dr Samuel Dhol, a project manager at the Worldwide Antimalarial Resistance Network, will demonstrate how data is presented in the dashboard and how it can be used by all who work on the topic of antimalarial drug resistance in Africa.
Who should register?
Anyone interested in how digital tools can support real-time data sharing for action against antimalarial drug resistance in Africa.
Participation will especially benefit people working on antimalarial drug resistance as part of:
ministries of health/government institutions
regional and national malaria control programmes
